Job summary

Vision Innovation Partners in Newark, DE is seeking a Surgical Technician to support operating room teams under the supervision of Surgeons, Registered Nurses, and Surgical Assistants, ensuring sterile technique and high standards of patient care.

You will prepare and organize OR equipment, anticipate surgeon and patient needs, manage specimens and medications, and maintain a sterile environment to support safe procedures. The role offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of operating room equipment and supplies.
• Compliance with safety and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize OR equipment, instruments and supplies for procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon and patient needs during procedures.
• Handle specimens, prepare and monitor medications, assist with dressings.
• Maintain sterile environment and field throughout procedures.
• Move and position patients safely to prevent injuries.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines and participate in staff education.
• Assist in stocking medical supplies and sterilization of instruments.
• Provide necessary instruments and supplies to surgeons and staff.
