Job summary

EyeSouth Partners is hiring a Registered Nurse at our Cincinnati facilities. The RN will provide ongoing assessment and nursing care, collaborate with physicians, and support patient education and discharge planning.

Primary location is Kenwood ASC with possible travel to Eastgate ASC; NO nights or weekends as noted. Competitive benefits are offered to employees.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED certificate recipient.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license in the state where work will be conducted.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Current Pre-op/PACU experience (within past 2 years).
• Ability to make sound nursing judgment based on nursing theory.
• Primary nurse accountability through coordination, communication, and continuity of patient care.
• Assess, prioritize, plan, and implement direct patient care.
• Continuing education and competency maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Observing facility policies, procedures, and processes.
• Preparing patients for the planned procedure.
• Obtaining the patient's medical history, including medications, allergies, and reactions.
• Carrying out physician's orders.
• Observing patient condition and escalating concerns as needed.
• Communicating to patient and care team effectively.
• Relaying information to appropriate personnel concerning patient condition.
• Educating patient including discharge instructions.
• Administering medications per physician order.
• Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Supervising non-licensed personnel as assigned.
• Maintaining supplies and medication.
• Assisting with procedures and records maintenance.
• Utilizing safe infection control practices and body mechanics.
• Serving as a clinical resource and upholding professional accountability.

We are now hiring a Registered Nurse. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a commitment to support the clinic's goals of providing each patient with a positive experience while receiving quality comprehensive eye care from the providers.

The Registered Nurse provides ongoing assessment and nursing care to patients in the facility in accordance with Physician's orders, policies, procedures, and processes within the scope of practice. Participates in the teaching of patients and family and provides leadership by working cooperatively with the other health care team members. Collaborates with physicians and team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

The primary location for this position is our Kenwood ASC. Occasionally travel to our Eastgate ASC may be required.

• Administering medications per physician order
• Appropriate documentation of care
• Supervising non-licensed personnel as assigned
• Maintaining appropriate supplies and medication
• Assisting with the preparation and performance of procedures
• Assisting in medical records maintenance
• Utilizing safe practices and controls to protect patients and self from infection and exposure
• Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality at all times

• Reporting and documenting any unusual occurrences and incidents in a timely manner
