Job summary

Jersey City Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist nursing and surgical staff in a busy operating room environment. The role includes providing technical assistance, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting the Circulator to ensure patient safety and efficient case flow.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an OR Technician training program, and at least 1 year of experience, plus NBSTSA certification and BLS.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an OR Technician training program or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a surgical setting or similar.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing and surgical staff with direct patient care activities.
• Provide technical assistance in the operating room environment.
• Plan and evaluate care provided.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with instrument handling as directed.
