Qualifications

• Completion of a surgical technology program accredited by the CAAHEP or ABHES.
• Active certification by the NBSTSA, JCAHPO, or NCCT required.
• 16 hours of continuing education every two years.
• National Provider BLS certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to optimize surgical outcomes.
• Assist the surgeon with sutures, supplies, and instruments.
• Maintain sterile technique during procedures.

Skills

Completion of surgical technology program

Active certification by NBSTSA, JCAHPO, or NCCT

Completion of armed forces training
