Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program and active NBSTSA/JCAHPO/NCCT certification.
• Armed forces or Public Health Service training with biennial CE requirements accepted.
• Grandfathered experience in ASC/hospital/government roles between 2014 and 2017 with CE requirement.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required on hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (Vendor Managed) required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the surgical team to provide direct patient care.
• Assist the surgeon and team during procedures with sutures, supplies, instruments and equipment.
• Maintain sterile technique throughout the procedure.

Education

CAAHEP/ABHES accredited surgical technology program

NBSTSA/JCAHPO/NCCT certification

Armed forces or Public Health Service training + 16h CE every 2 years

Grandfathered experience in ASC/hospital/government 2014–2017 + 16h CE every 2 years

National Provider BLS - Vendor Managed
