• Accredited Surgical Technologist program or certification required.
• Current BLS Certification necessary.
• Demonstrate knowledge of aseptic principles and AORN guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, manage surgical supplies, and instrumentation pre, intra, and post-operatively.
• Demonstrate clinical competence and participate in departmental resource management.
• Maintain competencies in main OR and CVOR, and take call as required.

• Responsible for the preparation, disbursement of surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation – pre, intra, and post-operatively
• Demonstrate knowledge of principles of asepsis
• Demonstrate knowledge of the standards of AORN guidelines
• Assume responsibility for clinical competence and professional development
• Participate in the responsible management of all departmental resources
• Take call as required by the department
• Maintain competenciesin main OR as well as the CVOR

Qualifications
