Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center, part of Methodist Health System, seeks a Surgical Technologist II to join a high‑tech, fast‑paced team. You will understand procedures, ensure all instruments and supplies are ready for cases, and assist the surgeon by handling instruments and equipment throughout surgeries.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a surgical technologist program or equivalent, Texas HB 643 compliance, and at least one year of prior surgical technology

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of Surgical Technologist program, military trained, or AD in Surgical Technology preferred.
• Complies with Texas House Bill #643.
• 1 year or more prior experience and must have worked as a Surgical Technologist prior to 09/01/2009 (if not a graduate of a Surgical Technology Program).

In this highly technical, fast-paced, and rewarding position, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for patients. The Surgical Technician II understands the procedure being performed and assures that all equipment, instrumentation, and supplies are available for the case. Articulates the needs of the surgeon. Handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Participates in setting up and turning over the operating room for cases.

Your Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent
• Graduate of Surgical Technologist program, military trained, or AD in Surgical Technology preferred
• Complies with Texas House Bill #643
• 1 year or more prior experience and must have worked as a Surgical Technologist prior to 09/01/2009 (if not a graduate of a Surgical Technology Program)
