Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgical Technician to assist the cardiac surgeon in the CVOR, prepare sterile instruments, and ensure equipment functions properly. This travel role involves working in diverse healthcare facilities and requires maintaining sterile practices and readiness of surgical tools.

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Job description

The Cardiovascular Surgical Technician is responsible for providing assistance to the cardiac surgeon in the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) environment; as well as preparing and providing sterile instruments and maintaining the sterilization of surgical equipment, arranging surgical equipment and adjust medical tools to ensure that the surgical devices are functioning properly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Surgical Technician certification Preferred (may be required per state and/or client requirement)

• One year experience as a Surgical Technician in a CVOR (cardiovascular operating room) required
