Job Summary


Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse circulator, the ORT assists the surgeon and the nurse in delivering care to the patient undergoing surgery

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $45.11 - $56.20 (Hourly Rate).

Department Description


St. Mary's Medical Center and associated outpatient clinics are now part of UCSF Health. This addition give us the opportunity to offer primary and secondary care in more places and increases UCSF Health's ability to care for patients with complex medical needs. Required Qualifications


  • Associate Degree
  • 2-3 years of adult inpatient operating room Surgical Technician experience within the past 5 years
  • Proficiency in orthopedic surgery
  • Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently and under pressure.


Preferred Qualifications


  • CST Certified Surgical Technician



License/Certification


  • Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
