Job description

Responsibilities

The BNI Neurosurgery Department has 11 advanced operating room suites supporting complex spine and brain surgeries. We provide 24-hour neurosurgical care for all ages, including elective and emergency procedures, primarily serving the Phoenix area and Southwestern U.S. Our goals include improving service delivery, community health, fostering learning, and ensuring safety by preventing errors and redesigning vulnerable systems. The unit includes licensed and unlicensed staff.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures with proper instruments and sterilization.
• Support surgeons by navigating the nuances of surgical procedures.
• Adapt to emergency situations as needed.
• Clean and turnover the operating room for the next patient.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• At least four (4) years of clinical experience as a surgical technologist.

Preferred:

• Graduation from a surgical tech program.
• Certification as a surgical technologist, preferably CT - ORT.
• Four (4) years of clinical experience in surgical technology.
