Job summary

MEDEX STAFFING NETWORK LLC is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join a dedicated surgical team in Lander, WY. This 13-week assignment offers 8-hour shifts and an opportunity to support patient care in a fast-paced operating room.

You will prepare sterile fields, assist surgeons, manage instruments, perform counts, and ensure aseptic technique while collaborating with circulating nurses and anesthesiologists. CST credential preferred and BLS/CPR current.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred or required.
• Prior experience in an operating room or surgical setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile technique.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced OR environment.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile field in the operating room prior to and during surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and surgical team members during a variety of operative procedures.
• Handle, pass, and account for surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Perform surgical counts (sponge, sharps, and instrument) in accordance with facility protocols.
• Set up and break down the OR suite, ensuring proper sterilization and equipment readiness.
• Monitor and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures.
• Collaborate with circulating nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure patient safety.
