Highpoint Health - Sumner with Ascension Saint Thomas is seeking a Surgical Technician for PRN shifts in Middle Tennessee. You will join a collaborative operating room team and support surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff to deliver safe, high-quality surgical care.

The role involves preparing the operating suite, assisting with patient positioning, and passing instruments during procedures. A recent BLS through AHA within one month of hire is required, with at least 6 months

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification via AHA within one month of hire.

Responsabilités

• Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the lab.

How You'll Contribute

As a Surgical Technologist at Highpoint Health - Sumner Regional Medical Center, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care to the patients we serve throughout Middle Tennessee. Our Surgical Technologists are valued members of the operating room team, working alongside surgeons, anesthesia providers, registered nurses, and other clinical professionals to ensure each procedure runs smoothly and efficiently.

At Highpoint Health, you'll have the opportunity to assist with a variety of surgical procedures while utilizing advanced technology and evidence-based practices. Our surgical services team supports both inpatient and outpatient procedures, including minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgeries, helping provide exceptional care close to home for our community.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months relative experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS required through AHA within one month of hire
