Job summary

Highpoint Health Sumner is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Night shift in the Sumners Post Surgical/Ortho Unit. You will deliver post-surgical care, monitor recovery, and collaborate with the care team to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.

The role requires TN or multi-state RN licensure and a nursing degree (AD/Bachelor's or RN Diploma); BLS, ACLS, and PALS within 6 months are expected. A dynamic, patient-centered environment awaits you.

Qualifications

• Current TN or Multi-State RN licensure.
• BLS/ACLS required; PALS within 6 months of hire.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree or RN Diploma in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-surgical nursing care for adult and adolescent patients.
• Monitor patient vitals, manage recovery, and respond to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The Sumners Post Surgical/Ortho Unit at Highpoint Health is a 24-bed unit specializing in the care of adult and adolescent patients who have undergone various surgical procedures. This unit is dedicated to providing exceptional post-surgical care across all types of surgeries, including general surgery, orthopedic procedures, and colectomies.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should have a current State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure and possess an Associate's or Bachelor's degree or RN Diploma in Nursing.

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Required within 6 months of hire
• Handle with Care preferred
