Job summary

Job Summary

Part‑time weekend Surgical Technician position at Wentworth‑Douglass Hospital, Dover, NH. 24 hours total (Saturday & Sunday 7 a.m.‑7 p.m.). On‑site. Sign‑on bonus available. Career ladder, benefits including medical, dental, 10 paid holidays, 403(b) and cash balance pension plan.

Essential Functions

• Participates in time‑out procedures.
• Assists in obtaining extra supplies and equipment as needed.
• Sets up equipment independently.
• Participates as an active member of the Patient Care Team.
• Monitors and continually assesses operating room conditions, including patient and surgical team needs.
• Prepares patients for surgery, including positioning on the operating table and covering with sterile drapes.
• Knowledge of SPD sterile room.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. No experience in lieu of degree accepted.

Licenses and Credentials: Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) preferred, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred, NH Medical Technologist license required, Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Experience: 2–3 years in acute care surgical technology preferred. 4+ years preferred with committee and leadership experience (3–5 years).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of SPD sterile room; ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment; advanced knowledge of sterile processing procedures and policies; familiarity with medical terminology and supply items.

Pay Range: $28.78‑$43.12 per hour.
