Job summary

St. Mary's General Hospital in Passaic, NJ is seeking an Operating Room Technician (per diem) to join the sterile processing team. You will prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each procedure and maintain a sterile field while assisting the surgeon with required instruments.

Responsibilities include supporting scrub duties during a range of surgical cases and ensuring timely delivery of equipment to the OR. Per diem status, with competitive pay and benefits based on shift and experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on-the-job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General, Plastics).
• Experience in scrubbing in specialty areas (e.g., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro.).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

• 1. High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
• 2. Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).
• 3. Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties, (i.e., GYN, General and Plastics).
• 4. Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro. Etc.).
• 5. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
