Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Saint Joseph East in Lexington, KY is seeking a Surgical Tech to prepare ORs, set up equipment, and assist the surgical team. You will maintain a sterile environment, support the OR staff, and contribute to the patient's healing process under RN supervision.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED with 1-3 years of OR/hospital experience and BLS within 14 days of hire; competency training within 12 months of employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 1-3 years of OR, endoscopy, or hospital experience.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification within 14 days of hire.
• On-site competency training or formal technical program completed within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and surgical team for procedures.
• Set up surgical equipment and instruments; assist the surgical team.
• Maintain sterile environment and patient confidentiality.
• Gently contribute to high-quality patient care under RN supervision.
