Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team in Joliet. The role supports operative and invasive procedures as a scrub, prepares instruments, and aids in room turnover between patients.

Collaboration with physicians and staff is essential to maintain high-quality patient care. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and completion of Surgical Technologist coursework; OR experience is preferred, with ASC and ORT certifications desired.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certification.
• Completion of Surgical Technologist course.
• Two years previous operating room experience.
• ASC experience preferred.
• ORT certification preferred.
• Training program for surgical technology in US armed forces, National Guard, or U.S. Public Health Services.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport to decontamination areas.
• Assist with post procedure cleaning of the operative or invasive procedure room and prepare the room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
