Job summary

Palomar Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech for the Labor/Delivery/Recovery department in Escondido, CA. You will scrub for procedures, assist the surgeon and circulating RN, and ensure equipment readiness.

You must be fluent in Spanish, possess CST and BLS credentials, and be capable of handling clinical and clerical tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

Job Description

Performs surgical scrub responsibilities; assist the surgeon and the circulating RN.

Responsible for the setup, maintenance, and cleaning of assigned equipment. Stocks and prepares the epidural cart.

• Assist with patient transport
• Readying and moving gurneys
• Stocking supplies and solutions
• Assisting in the turnover of the LDRP suites
• Clerical duties
• Transporting specimens

Works under the direction and supervision of the surgeon and the circulating RN.

Participates as a member of the clinical interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate resources for all internal and external customers.

Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.

Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail).

Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job.

Performs other duties as assigned.
