Job summary

Palmetto-General-Hospital is seeking an entry-level surgical scrub position for newly trained or noncertified operating room technicians. You will assist surgeons with procedures including cesarean sections, tubal ligation, hysterectomy, cervical cerclage, and dilation & curettage.

You will operate under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and must be flexible for on-call nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a surgical technology program or equivalent.
• 1 year of OR experience preferred.
• Current BLS card from the American Red Cross required.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons with a variety of surgical procedures in the operating room.
• Work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and standards of care; participate in on-call rotations.

Position Summary:

Required to work flexible hours and be on call nights, weekends, and holidays.

• One year of O.R. experience preferred.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• Holds a current BLS card from the American Red Cross

Communication Skills:

• Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization
