IRMC is seeking a Surgical Technician for the Operating Room Department in Indiana, PA. This full-time position involves scrubbing for surgery and assisting in the care of surgical patients.

The ideal candidate will manage surgical supplies and equipment, ensuring adherence to AORN standards while addressing the age-related needs of all patients. Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required or must be obtained within 18 months of hire.

Applicants must complete all shifts with call and are expected to hold a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

Job Specification

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• Minimum Experience Required
  • Experience preferred; must complete orientation for O.R.
• Licensure/Certification Required
  • Certification as Surgical Technologist from a nationally recognized institutional or programmatic accreditation required or must be obtained within 18 months of hire date after 12/29/2020.
  • Must complete 10 hours of continuing education annually to maintain certification.
  • Must be BLS certified required (or obtain within one month of hire)
