Responsibilities

• Provides relationship-based patient centered care under supervision of the registered nurse
• Partners with patient and family using bedside shift report, rounds, teaching, and goal-focused planning
• Practices with current clinical standards under supervision of RN
• Supports compliance with Joint Commission standards and WellStar safety absolutes
• Participates in data collection and evidence-based practice questions
• Provides patient care under supervision of the registered nurse
• Supports performance improvement initiatives
• Maintains confidentiality in patient care
• Delivers safe, high-quality care and promotes inclusive communication
• Completes initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and mandatory education
• Serves as a preceptor/mentor for surgical technologists and LDR staff
• Prepares operative suite and surgical field and maintains sterility
