Job summary

American Career College is hiring a Surgical Technologist faculty member to guide students and shape future patient care across clinical and classroom settings.

You will mentor learners, develop lessons and assess outcomes, while maintaining alignment with state regulations and CHEA accreditation. A CST credential and relevant OR/teaching experience within the last five years are essential; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years of occupational experience in the teaching field.
• Within the last five years, OR experience or teaching in the field, or both.
• Associate degree with relevant coursework required.
• Graduate from an accredited program; CST credential required.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as mentor, role model and facilitator for students.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and the learning process.
• Apply teaching skills to the scheduled courses.
• Participate in assessment activities and continuous improvement.
• Improve class materials and syllabi within governance processes.
• Use varied teaching methods to meet learning outcomes.
• Engage in scholarly activities and professional growth.
• In clinical settings, supervise students and ensure safety.
