Job summary

Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital in Seminole County is seeking a Surgical Tech II for a full-time, first shift role in the LMH Surgery department. The position requires maintaining sterile technique and supporting a variety of procedures in a modern facility.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Surgical technology training program or Orlando Health training program completed.
• Two years of surgical tech experience; CST may substitute.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Reviews preference and verifies case cart completely prior to case.
• Maintains an orderly surgical field and passes instruments quickly to the surgeon.
• Anticipates and prioritizes the steps of the procedure.
• Participates in counts of sponge, needle and instruments.
• Maintains surgical specimens for pathology evaluation.
• Assists in ordering and stocking of specialty supplies.
• Transports and delivers items, equipment, and medications throughout the facility.
• Maintains attendance and compliance with Orlando Health policies.
