Job summary

Piedmont Mountainside Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the OR team in a scrub role. You will perform patient care duties under RN supervision and collaborate with licensed staff to ensure safe, efficient surgical procedures.

Requirements include an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent, HS diploma or GED, and BCLS upon hire; CST certification is preferred. This position supports weekend shifts and varied hours in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Surgical Technology program required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist required or 3 years of surgical tech experience.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required Upon Hire.
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs necessary duties in scrub role. Takes on greater responsibility in providing patient care demonstrating a higher level critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Functions in partnership with licensed staff and performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a registered nurse.
