Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the scrub role and support patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The incumbent will work with licensed staff to perform procedures across age groups in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Required: HS diploma or GED, completion of a Surgical Technology program, and BCLS. A CST certification is preferred; 3 years of surgical tech experience may substitute for certification.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program Required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist Required or 3 years of surgical tech experience Required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required.
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Preferred.

• Performs necessary duties in scrub role under RN direction.
• Takes on greater responsibility in patient care with higher level thinking and problem solving.
• Functions in partnership with licensed staff to perform patient care for various ages.
