Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking a Surgical Technologist to perform scrub duties and support patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Surgical Technology program graduate or equivalent, and certification as a Surgical Technologist or experience in surgical tech is considered. BCLS is required; CST certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program is required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required or 3 years of surgical tech experience.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support upon Hire is required.
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs necessary duties in scrub role.
• Demonstrates higher level critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Functions in partnership with licensed staff and under the direction of a registered nurse.
