LiveWell Homecare Agency seeks a Surgical Technician to assist in the operating room, manage equipment, and keep instruments ready for use. You will help maintain a sterile, safe surgical environment under supervision.

Requirements include a Surgical Technician program and high school diploma, plus certifications such as NBSTSA/NCCT and BLS within 90 days. On-site, full-time position in Houston, TX, with preferred prior OR experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program is required.
• Certifications such as Surgical Technician Certification and BLS must be obtained within 90 days.
• 1+ year of Surgical Tech experience is preferred.
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification is required.

Role Overview

Performs specialized technical duties in surgical or procedural settings under supervision. Assists the surgical team by managing equipment and instrumentation to ensure a safe operating environment and proper functioning of all tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the surgical team with equipment setup and maintenance.
• Ensure availability and proper functioning of surgical instruments.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment in the operating room.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program.
• Required certifications include Surgical Technician Certification by recognized boards, Basic Life Support (BLS), or relevant military/public health programs (must obtain within 90 days).
• Experience as a Surgical Tech preferred, with at least one year of related experience.
• Certifications such as the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or the National Center for Competency Testing are required.

Additional Requirements

• Must possess valid licensures and certifications as specified.
• Experience in surgical tech roles is preferred.
