Texas Health Huguley in Burleson, TX is seeking a certified surgical technologist to join our sterile processing team. You will set up sterile fields, assist surgeons, maintain patient safety, and ensure instruments and supplies are ready for procedures.

Required include BLS, CST certification, NBSTSA and NTSC credentials, with 2+ years of experience preferred. This full-time day shift position offers comprehensive benefits from day one and opportunities for professional growth.

Job Description:

Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures. Scrubs, gowns, and gloves for surgical procedures. Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures, displaying knowledge of procedure and patient positioning. Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed. Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants. Assists other team members with terminal cleaning of the room and prepping for the next patient. Handles surgical specimens with 100% accuracy. Recognizes and responds immediately to emergency situations appropriately. Performs other duties as assigned. Helps in draping sterile field. Passes instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedures. Maintains the highest standard of sterile technique during procedures. Prepares sterile dressings and cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
