BayCare Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist First Assistant for Morton Plant North Bay Hospital. This full-time role requires assisting surgeons in operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years experience as a Surgical Tech or 2 years as a Surgical Technologist First Assistant, along with BLS certification. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) matching, and extensive training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Surgical Tech or 2 years as a Surgical Technologist First Assistant – Main OR experience.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

• Help provide exposure and maintain homeostasis during surgeries.

Position Description: Surgical Technologist First Assistant

• As defined by the American College of Surgeons, Surgical Assistants (SAs) are trained individuals who are able to participate in, and actively assist the surgeon in, completing the operation safely and expeditiously by helping to provide exposure, maintain homeostasis, and other technical functions

Location: Morton Plant North Bay Hospital

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 10:30 AM -7: 00 PM

Weekend Work: Occasional

On Call: Yes

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Surgical Tech OR 2-years Surgical Technologist First Assistant - Main OR experience.
• High School or Equivalent
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
