Mercy St. Louis Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist First Assistant (STFA) in the Main Operating Room. The role supports surgeons in a full‑time, day‑shift capacity at a Level I Trauma Center and Burn Center, with a $7,500 sign‑on bonus available.

You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering advanced surgical care to patients of all ages, including pediatrics. The STFA works alongside surgeons, RNs, and staff to support complex and routine procedures across General, Orthopedic,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 1–2 years of scrub experience required; 2+ years in complex cases preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist surgeon in exposure, hemostasis, closure and interoperative tasks.
• May perform the Surgical Technologist role in the OR as needed.
• Coordinate perioperative care with nurses and interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality.

Connaissances

Intraoperative clinical skills
