Job summary

ConnectedHealth in Chadron, NE is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join a collaborative OR team. Responsibilities include preparing rooms, handling instruments, maintaining sterile technique, assisting surgeons, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.

Ideal candidates hold current BLS, have completed an Accredited Surgical Technology program, and CST certification, with strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment prior to procedures.
• Set up sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment according to procedure requirements.
• Maintain the sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons, nurses, and other members of the operating room team.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
• Perform surgical counts for instruments, sponges, sharps, and other supplies.
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
• Ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly before procedures.
• Follow infection prevention, sterilization, and patient safety standards.
• Assist with cleaning and turnover of operating rooms between procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to facility policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, anesthesia providers, and other clinical staff.
