Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA, is seeking a Surgical Technologist Extern for PRN shifts. Under the supervision of the Circulating RN, you will support perioperative services, perform delegated basic patient care, and help maintain a clean, safe operating room.

You must be enrolled in an approved Surgical Technologist program and obtain Basic Life Support within 30 days of start. Preferred: high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an approved Surgical Technologist program
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Preferred: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Delivers high quality, patient-centered care in support of the surgical suite
• Assists the surgical staff under the supervision of the Circulating RN
• Maintains a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment
