Description:The CVOR Tech position is open for travelers.The unit accepts first-time travelers.Candidates must have experience in a variety of CVOR procedures.Skills in aortic aneurysm repair, coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), and mitral valve replacement are essential.Knowledge of aseptic techniques and the decontamination and sterilization process is required.Candidates should be familiar with ECMO insertion/decannulation and VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery).Understanding of specimen handling and labeling is necessary.Applicants must be prepared to participate in required call.The role involves working with adult patients primarily.Candidates should be able to demonstrate proficiency in the universal protocol (time out) procedure.Experience in working with a cell saver and electrosurgical units is important.The responsibilities include assisting in special procedures and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.Knowledge of lung resection procedures and ventricular assist devices is appreciated.
