Description:We are seeking a Surgical Tech with experience in an acute hospital setting.The role involves working in the operating room with four operating suites and one endoscopy suite.On average, the operating room handles 8-18 cases per day.Exposure to cases such as cataracts, endoscopy, pediatric ENT, adult ENT, urology, orthopedics, spinals, gynecology, and robotics is essential.Candidates must possess skills in scrubbing and operating room assistance.A charge nurse supervises the surgical services team, which includes 1-2 techs in every room.Familiarity with the electronic medical record system is required.Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, with shifts potentially varying from 8, 9, 10, to 12-hour shifts.Weekend rotations are typically scheduled every 4-6 weeks.The position may involve floating to other areas such as PACU, pre-op, or same-day surgery.Scrub color and dress code will be provided.The orientation period will last 3-5 days specific to the unit.
