Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Certified Obstetric Surgical Technologist to join a collaborative obstetric and surgical team. You will prepare the surgical suite, assist with procedures, and support on-call scheduling to ensure safe, compassionate care for newborns.

With access to training and mentorship, you will grow in a high-volume labor and delivery environment, delivering patient-centered care and contributing to a seamless surgical experience.

Qualifications

• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• CST certification or equivalent qualification is required or acceptable.
• OB experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing the surgical suite and organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Providing instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team.
• Maintaining a sterile field, performing counts, and ensuring equipment functions properly.
• Collaborating with the team to deliver patient-centered obstetric care.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the surgical suite and organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies to support safe, efficient procedures
• Assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety
• Providing instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures
• Maintaining a sterile field, performing counts, and ensuring instruments and equipment function properly
• Working closely with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care and a seamless surgical experience

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or Work Experience in Lieu of Credential, or (NRST) Nationally Registered Surgical Technician, or (TS-C) Tech in Surgery - Certified, or Certificate, or Work Experience in lieu of Degree, or Vocational School Graduate
• OB experience Highly Preferred
