Job summary

Montrose Regional Health is seeking a Surgical Scrub Technician in Montrose, CO, under direct supervision of a Certified Surgical Technician. The role coordinates and assembles instrumentation for each case, passes instruments and medications, and anticipates surgeon needs within the plan of care.

Collaboration with the OR team and RN Circulator is essential. The position supports pre-certification training, with tasks under direct supervision per CDPHE guidelines.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an approved surgical technology program.
• Near completion and enrolled in the last 12 months of an approved surgical technician program.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to surgical technology.

Responsibilities

• Assists in coordinating and assembling instrumentation for cases.
• Passes instrumentation and appropriate medications; anticipates surgeon needs.
• Works under direct supervision of a Certified Surgical Technician and RN Circulator.
• Collaborates with OR staff to minimize downtime between cases.
• Adheres to ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities in surgical practice.
