Responsibilities include preparing and teaching courses, maintaining accreditation standards, and coordinating with students on outcomes and expectations.

Qualifications

• NBSTSA Certified.
• Breadth of knowledge and experience in Surgical Technology.
• 2+ years of professional experience in clinical practice and teaching in the last five years.
• Curriculum design knowledge and education philosophy emphasizing student learning.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team and communicate with diverse groups.
• Clinical experience as a practicing surgical technologist.
• Experience promoting quality education in lab and fieldwork environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach classes in the Surgical Technology program.
• Participate in activities to maintain accreditation standards.
• Keep accurate records, outlines, and syllabi.
• Maintain regular office hours.
• Evaluate student work and submit grades on time.
• Demonstrate professional development in Surgical Technology.
• Use instructional technology and distance learning tools.
• Attend New Faculty Orientation and complete required training.
• Coordinate student ADA accommodation requests respecting policies.
• Contribute to department, division, and college mission.
