West Boca Medical Center in Boca Raton, FL, is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for perioperative support. This per diem role requires rotating shifts and on-call nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure safe patient care during procedures in the Operating Room.

As part of the West Boca Medical Center team and Tenet Healthcare family, you will work under RN direction, maintain sterile technique, and contribute to performance improvement initiatives while supporting a collaborative

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and OR technologist program graduation.
• One or more years of experience as an OR Surgical Technologist.
• American Heart Association BLS certification; TECH-SURGICAL (CERT) recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective patient care as the Surgical Technologist in the OR.
• Perform routine scrub duties and support the surgeon and team per policy.

Job Summary

Job Shift: Rotate

Job Type: Per Diem

To provide safe and effective patient care, through the performance of specific duties as the Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room during surgical and other invasive procedures under the direction of a registered nurse. Performs routine scrub duties according to AORN standards and established policies and procedures of the department of surgery. Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment for all. Keeps current and operating room techniques, procedures, instruments, supplies and equipment; assists with the ongoing Performance improvement Program. Required to work flexible hours and be on call nights, weekends and holidays. Assists with annual performance evaluations and competencies.

Qualifications

Education:

Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an approved operating room technologist program.

Required Experience:

• One or more years experience as an OR Surgical Technologist

Required Certification/Licensure/Registration:

• American Heart Association BLS
• TECH-SURGICAL (CERT) - Certification recommended
