Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience functioning calmly in a pressure situation; work with little supervision.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Proficiency with computers, software and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication and professional presentation of information.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Performs indirect patient care duties.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment in patient care and support surgical areas.
• Performs direct patient care duties.
• Maintains required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training and credentials.
• Adapts to rapid day-to-day changes in the department / unit.
