Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin is seeking a Supply Chain Technician for Surgical & Invasive Services to manage inventory, assemble case carts, and support clinical staff with timely supplies.

You will work with Surgical Services, Cath Lab, and Interventional Radiology to maintain inventory integrity, perform cycle counts, and help resolve shortages. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and a proactive approach to hospital logistics.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree and healthcare inventory systems preferred.
  • Experience with inventory management in healthcare or supply chain is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure critical supplies, implants, grafts, tissue products, and equipment are available when needed.
  • Receive, distribute, and replenish inventory accurately.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain organized stock locations.
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory audits for accuracy.
  • Track expiration dates, recalls, and lot numbers to minimize waste.

Looking for a role where your work truly matters? Join our healthcare Supply Chain team and play a critical role in ensuring physicians, nurses, and clinical staff have the supplies, equipment, and resources they need to provide outstanding patient care.

As a Supply Chain Technician , you’ll support Surgical Services, Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, and Surgicenter by managing inventory, distributing critical supplies, assembling surgical case carts, and helping maintain a seamless care environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Ensure critical medical supplies, implants, grafts, tissue products, and equipment are available when needed
  • Receive, distribute, and replenish inventory accurately and efficiently
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain organized stock locations
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy
  • Track and manage expiration dates, recalls, lot numbers, backorders, and product documentation
  • Rotate inventory to reduce waste and support quality standards
  • Pick supplies and assemble case carts for upcoming surgical procedures
  • Restock unused supplies following procedures and maintain inventory integrity
  • Collaborate with clinical teams, Sterile Processing, and Supply Chain partners to address shortages and urgent requests
  • Maintain accurate records of ordered, purchased, received, and returned products
  • Help identify and solve inventory discrepancies and operational challenges
  • Keep workspaces clean, organized, and audit-ready

Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma, GED, HSED, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory management, warehouse operations, healthcare support, or a related field
Preferred
  • Associate Degree
  • Experience with healthcare inventory or materials management systems
  • Experience with PeopleSoft MMIS, Par Excellence, Q-Sight, or similar inventory management software
  • Hospital, surgical services, or clinical support experience
