Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage is hiring a Central Supply Distribution Technician in the Sterile Process Department. You will manage a multi-million-dollar inventory of surgical instruments, implants, and equipment, and lead efforts to reduce instrument costs while balancing clinical needs with financial responsibility.

You will coordinate ordering, receiving, distribution, repairs, exchanges, and recalls, and maintain instrument tray counts.

Qualifications

• 1 year Surgical Supply Management, Medical Logistics/Materials Management or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Upon hire: Certified Healthcare Leader - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association.
• 3 years' experience with surgical instrumentation and/or implants.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ordering, receiving, and distribution of instruments, implants, and supplies.
• Maintain instrument and implant par levels, min/max and reorder points.
• Make recommendations regarding purchases of additional instrument and implant sets.
• Maintain accurate instrument tray count sheets.
