Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK is hiring a Central Supply Distribution Technician for the Sterile Process Department. You will manage multi-million-dollar surgical instrument inventories and coordinate ordering, receiving, and distribution of instruments and implants.

This role balances clinical needs with cost efficiency, maintaining par levels, min/max, and reorder points, and partnering with SPD, OR, General Stores, sales reps and repair services.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Surgical Supply Management, Medical Logistics/Materials Management or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for leadership in sterile processing.
• Certification: Healthcare Sterile Processing Association leadership certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-million-dollar surgical instrument, implant, and equipment inventory.
• Coordinate ordering, receiving, and distribution of instruments, implants, and supplies.
• Maintain instrument tray counts and par levels, and support recalls and repairs.
