Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center is hiring a Central Supply Distribution Technician in the Sterile Process Department in Anchorage, AK. You will manage a multi-million-dollar inventory of surgical instruments, implants, and equipment while balancing clinical needs with financial responsibility.

You will coordinate ordering, receiving, and distribution, maintain par levels, and work closely with SPD, OR, and General Stores teams, along with vendors and repair services to ensure instrument

Qualifications

• 1 year Surgical Supply Management, Medical Logistics/Materials Management or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Upon hire: Certified Healthcare Leader - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association.
• 3 years' experience with surgical instrumentation and/or implants.

Responsibilities

• Manage a multi-million-dollar surgical instrument, implant, and equipment inventory.
• Balance clinical needs with financial responsibility.
• Maintain instrument tray count sheets and par levels (min/max) and reorder points.
• Coordinate ordering, receiving, and distribution of instruments, implants, and supplies; instrument and equipment repairs; product exchanges and recalls.
• Maintain relationships with SPD, OR, General Stores staff, clinical teams, sales reps, and repair services.
