Job summary

Rochester Regional Health in Batavia is seeking a Core Technician in the Surgery department. This part-time role supports the flow of surgical supplies and instrumentation in the sterile core and assists Perioperative staff to optimize operating room efficiency.

The position requires solid computer skills, teamwork, and a focus on patient care and brand values. Responsibilities include coordinating assistants, printing pick lists, and on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• One year OR experience preferred.
• Proficient with computers.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, assigns, and facilitates daily tasks for perioperative assistants.
• Prints case pick lists daily and matches with the surgical schedule.
• Prints add-on pick lists as required.
• Ensures all cases are picked and complete.
• Provides coverage for Materials Supervisors as needed.
• Assists with schedules, PTO requests and on-call scheduling.
• Attends SPD/Purchasing meetings to ensure supplies and instrumentation are available.
• Communicates equipment and supply needs with OR staff.
