Job summary

The Perioperative Attendant at Mary Immaculate Hospital, part of Bon Secours, provides essential support to surgical teams under RN supervision. Responsibilities include room setup, patient positioning, equipment readiness, and patient transport to ensure safe, efficient procedures.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, BLS preferred, and 1 year perioperative experience. This 32-hour weekly role offers comprehensive benefits and a commitment to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred at hire.
• One year perioperative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up surgical suites and turnover between cases.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and sterile holds.
• Restock supplies for surgery and anesthesia daily.
• Set up equipment and report broken/missing devices.
• Transport patients between departments as needed.
• Respond to requests from other departments.
• Perform patient POCT and daily quality control checks on POCT devices.
