Job summary

Mercy Hospital South is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Surgical Stepdown to provide high-quality patient care on a day shift, full-time (36 hours/week) at 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, MO 63128. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered for experienced RNs and a comprehensive benefits package supports staff wellbeing.

Education requirements include an ADN, nursing diploma, or BSN with MO RN licensure (or compact licensure). BLS is required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Hospital experience preferred and may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
