Job summary

Louisiana State University’s Veterinary Medicine department seeks an Associate Clinical Specialist 3 to support the Surgical Training Center. The role involves organizing equipment, assisting with instructional labs, and coordinating cadaveric materials to facilitate high-quality education.

You will supervise student workers, assist with the intake/discharge of dogs and cats used in labs, and support OSCEs and elective activities while maintaining sterility and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Associate's degree in veterinary technology with 4+ years' experience.
• Certification as a veterinary technician with 4+ years' experience.
• At least 7 years in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Organize and order supplies for surgical training.
• Assist instructional labs and setup/breakdown.
• Manage cadavers and teaching models.
• Oversee student worker activities and scheduling.
• Assist intake and discharge of dogs and cats used in labs.
• Support scheduling and coordination of supplies for electives and educational activities.
• Assist in OSCE setup, breakdown, and execution.
• Support outreach, research projects, and model development for the program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
