Qualifications

Overview

The Neurosurgery Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) provides both clinical and surgical support to a neurosurgeon across clinic and operating room settings. Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, preparing and maintaining surgical equipment and instruments, supporting procedures, and ensuring efficient clinic and surgical workflows. This role participates in an on‑call rotation and requires occasional weekend and holiday coverage. Travel to off‑site clinic locations may be required based on operational needs. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast‑paced neurosurgical environment.

Surgical Skilled Technologists provide service and support before, during, and after surgical procedures. Assists in ensuring the presence and proper arrangement of surgical equipment, supplies and instrumentation in the operating room prior to each operation. Provides assistance to the surgeon in the operating room as allowed by professional and legal standards. Assists in the turnover of the operating room after the procedure ensuring proper routing and/or processing of all specimens, equipment, instrumentation and supplies. Works as a member of the surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel.
