Job summary

Pay range for this position is $18.41-$27.26

Will train on the below skills if candidate does not have experience as a Sterile processing Tech. Would prefer a candidate with some healthcare experience

• Demonstrates competence necessary to assemble, clean, maintain, replace, and inventory equipment and instruments.
• Demonstrates competence in preparing and cleaning of surgical services area and Operating Room (OR) suites before and between cases and after terminalcase, based upon the patient’s infection class.
• Restockssupplies as assigned.
• Demonstrates responsibility forcareof instruments/equipment, including cleaning and processing of instruments.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of instrument processing, sterilization, biologicalmonitoringand chemical monitoring
• Monitors and promotes a safe environment during care and maintenance of instruments and equipment.Performs all aspects of sterile Processing and Central Services in an environment thatoptimizespatient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
• Assists the Surgical Services team to plan and evaluate procedural needs tooptimizeoutcomes and maximize available resources.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinateappropriate suppliesfor procedures.
• Identifiesbarriers to effectively communicate based on psychosocial, literacy, financial,adcultural considerations.
• Employs critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a fast pacedenvironment and takeappropriate action.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
