Job summary

United Surgical Partners International is looking for a motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join their team in Littleton, Colorado. The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for caring for and maintaining all surgical instrumentation, as well as setting up supplies and instruments for various surgical cases.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, and experience in a hospital setting is preferred. USPI offers competitive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with a salary range of $21 - $27 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.

South Denver Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Sterile Processing Technician - PT to join our team. Our fast paced ASC is committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Computer skills, required
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
• Six months of experience, preferred
• 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
• Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
• Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians

Education, Training and Experience Requirements

• Current Colorado License
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum 2 year experience in a hospital setting
• Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors and the public.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
• Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
• Excellent teaching skills
• Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
• Experience working in an ASC is a plus.
